I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, software engineer, and consultant who bridges the gap between clinical heart and business excellence. With a foundation built on over 15 years of software engineering and a deep commitment to mental health care, I offer a rare synthesis of skills across three specialized domains:   Clinical Practice: Columbia United Therapy Institute (CUTI) I provide compassionate, flexible counseling for individuals, couples, and families in Eugene, Springfield, and statewide across Oregon.   • Clinical Focus: I specialize in trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI).   • Grounded Experience: I bring over seven years of experience from high-needs environments, including residential drug and alcohol treatment and ongoing crisis work at the Lane County Jail.   • Therapeutic Approach: I utilize an eclectic blend of Somatic therapy, ACT, IFS, DBT, and CBT to help clients untangle the past and navigate modern challenges with steady compassion.   Clinical Innovation: CUTI Labs As a developer, I build specialized digital tools designed to bridge the gap between clinical theory and personal nervous system regulation.   • Therapist-Built Tools: I design and code the exact tools I use in my own practice to make clinical work more effective.   • Privacy-First Ecosystem: I have created a suite of secure iOS and web applications, including panic.btn for acute relief, iLovable for daily affirmations, and Mutterly for IFS-inspired parts work.   Practice Consulting: CUTI Consulting I help talented therapists and small business owners scale their private practices by solving the technical challenges that distract from client care.   • Systems & Automation: I build custom growth engines—managing scheduling, intake, and follow-ups—saving providers over 10 hours of manual administrative work every week.   • Digital Presence & SEO: I design professional, client-ready websites and implement high-performance local search strategies so practices remain visible to the clients who need them most.   • Large-Scale Infrastructure: My portfolio includes building ORCounselors.com, an SEO engine that connects thousands of Oregonians with specialized care across a network of over 1,200 active providers.

Eric Richers

We are a diverse group of clinicians, and are here to help clients grow and develop into the best possible version of themselves.  We have worked with clients of all ages and from many walks of life, helping them to find peace and meet their goals. Our clinicians are skilled in working with a multitude of populations and strive to help clients obtain confidence and their own sense of peace and wellbeing. Our clinicians are available online, in person, and in the schools of Harrisburg and Junction City school districts in Oregon. We recognize that not everyone can come to an appointment during the traditional office hours of many clinics, and while our adminstrative office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. many of our clinicans work outside of those hours, including weekends, to best accomodate clients and meet them where they are at.  We see clients as young as age 5, and have our Certificate of Approval from the Oregon Health Authority, allowing us to not only provider therapy, but also to provide skills training and peer support services. We are trained in modalities such as art therapy, animal assisted therapy, play therapy, brainspotting, Existentialim, and EMDR, as well as the more "traditional" therapies such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT or B-SFT), and Acceptance and Committement Therapy (ACT) to name a few. We use a variety of interventions including case management, skills building, family support/peer support, individual therapy, family therapy, and couples therapy.
