With everything that is going on in the world, it is easy to fall into anxious and depressed moods, feel fear, helplessness or hopelessness, experience low motivation, and find it difficult to engage in self-care. Having trauma and/or traumatic experiences can often intensify these feelings, resulting in barriers to healing, stability, and management of symptoms and stressors. Minority Stress is at an all time high, with members of the BIPOC and Queer communities feeling impacted by the state of the world and experiencing nervous system dysregulation.
