When you’re feeling stuck like the only thing you can do is put your kid in therapy, let me be a different starting point. After working for years with kids, I learned the best way to help a kid is to help their parents regulate their nervous system and learn effective parenting skills through a supportive environment. In session, I use an attachment based lens with foundations in Theraplay and EMDR to help parents build a stronger foundation at home and finally feel like they are thriving, not just surviving.
