I believe that children and adolescents, as well as adults, must be given a variety of tools to understand, express and integrate their life experiences. Utilizing play, art and other expressive media offers clients opportunities to learn – not only about themselves, but also about their relationships to others and to the world. Play and art are also storytelling tools: powerful ways in which we make sense of our experiences, with the opportunity to rewrite that story. Whether working with children, adolescents or adults, I rely on a variety of therapeutic tools to help clients understand and process their experiences.
