Alexander Counseling Center

RuthAnne Alexander, LPC, is the founder and clinical director of Alexander Counseling Center, a trauma-informed group practice serving clients throughout Oregon. She oversees a team of therapists with diverse specialties, treatment approaches, and insurance participation, allowing the practice to thoughtfully match clients with a therapist who best fits their needs.

Alexander Counseling Center provides therapy for PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, ADHD, autism, and more using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches designed to calm the nervous system and support lasting change. Services within the practice include modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, EMDR, and other trauma-informed interventions, as well as emerging services like neurofeedback.

The practice emphasizes collaborative, paced therapy that respects each client’s nervous system and readiness for change. Clients often come to Alexander Counseling Center when they feel stuck in survival mode, overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts, or exhausted from carrying unresolved experiences. Our work focuses on helping clients reduce reactivity, process difficult experiences, and regain a sense of stability and direction in daily life.
