Most parents come to me feeling lost, often exhausted, and determined to better understand their child, to support their child's needs, and to ultimately change their relationship with their child for the better.
I often support children who communicate their needs through yelling and throwing tantrums, or having frequent meltdowns over seemingly trivial experiences. Many times these children are overwhelmed in their own bodies and in their external surroundings, and yet they are doing the best they can to just hold it together every day - and simply can't do it on their own.
