My approach to helping children and teens overcome anxiety is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). With parent involvement, I believe in tailoring CBT strategies to help children and teens understand and manage their anxious thoughts and feelings. Together, we will work on developing coping skills, challenging repetitive negative thinking patterns, and gradually facing fears. I believe in using evidence-based practices, such as Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and cognitive restructuring, to help children and teens learn effective coping strategies, develop cognitive flexibility and build resilience.
