We cannot shame ourselves into behavior change, and that's why I take a compassion-focused approach to everything I do. Self-compassion might be brand new to you, which is totally cool! It's a skill that might not feel natural at first, but eventually can become the default way you respond to yourself (and hopefully others as well). I believe your experience in therapy should be as unique as you are. I integrate many different modalities to fit your personality, goals, and preferences. Everything we do in therapy will be collaborative, as my goal is to reduce the inherent power dynamic that the therapeutic relationship can create.
